Racing Cylinder MALOSSI MHR MK II 221 cc

for Vespa 200 Rally/P200E/PX200 E/Lusso/'98/MY/Cosa 200

  • for use with 60mm crankshaft
  • aluminium
  • Ø 68,5mm
  • stroke 60mm
  • 1 piston ring(s)
  • pin 16mm
  • with cylinder head

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Malossi offers with the 221cc MHR MK2 a special cylinder for engines with long stroke crankshafts. The 3 millimetre longer stroke (standard 57mm, long stroke 60mm) provides 221cc displacement.

The most obvious change compared to the otherwise almost identical "old" 221cc MHR kit is the now bolted exhaust flange. Two steel parts (4 times bolted steel plate and socket) now seal the exhaust port by means of an O-ring to the cylinder. The cylinder itself is adapted to the 60mm stroke in that it is 1.5mm longer at the cylinder head sealing surface than its 210cc counterpart.

  • High quality cast aluminium
  • Ultra hard and wear resistant cylinder coating
  • 7 overflow ports with large channel cross-sections
  • MALOSSI CVF2 system
  • Coated Vertex piston with a keystone piston ring
  • Centring bushes for centring the cylinder head

This results in relatively tame timing angles by Malossi MHR standards of approximately 182° exhaust to 123° overflow. The exhaust is well prepared with 43,3mm chord width (= 63%) as well as gentle corner radii for a powerful and long piston life.

The very large scavenging and exhaust area in combination with not too high head angles predestine the 221cc MHR as an ideal cylinder for all who want to build a fast and powerful power tourer.engine performance of well over 25hp, coupled with a rich torque are possible with the Malossi without further reworking of the cylinder.in combination with our big box exhaust were already achieved 26hp and 29NM, whereby here the full torque is already at under 6000 rpm. Already at 4500rpm there is 16hp at the wheel, literally a "traction engine"...!

The kit includes:

  • Cylinder
  • Cylinder head
  • piston
  • Piston ring
  • Piston clips
  • Piston pin
  • Gasket set
  • Exhaust port, plate, O-ring
  • Bushings for head centring
