Constructed from CNC milled aluminum and conically shaped for an added venturi effect, this kit provides an increased airflow up to 30%. Finally ! At last a more performance orientated air intake system for all die hard DELLORTO SI carburettor fans, made by POLINI.
The original PIAGGIO air filter has a performance orientated replacement in the form of a CNC milled air induction funnel. It is conical in shape and provides an added acceleratory venturi effect to the induction process of your DELLORTO SI carb.
To ensure a sufficient airflow a race style air filter is provided to replace the original PIAGGIO rubber air bellow tube, connecting the SI carburettor airbox to the opening in the PX frame. This item also has an 'O' ring seal to make sure of reliable indicational air filtration.
TOP-TIP : You will have to raise the jetting in your carb. for safe and enduring use of this performance extra. With original PIAGGIO cylinders the jetting should be increased by 5-8 sizes. In combination with performance orientated cylinder set ups your main jet needs an increase of between 10 and 15 sizes. This conversion functions especially well in combination with the BIG BOX expansion chamber systems.
