Threaded end cables were fitted to early Vespa T5 (squire tail) and early PX EFL scooters until the law regarding front brake light switches came into force in 1986, these cables were still being used in Europe up until the 90's
Piaggio then started using a 2 part front brake cable with and inline brake light switch
This threaded front brake trunnion set solves the problem of converting the lower brake arm to a cable clamp
with the use of this kit you can use a standard front brake cable (with or without brake light switch) and use the original brake arm to adjust the brake the way piaggio had originally intended
