With so many cylinders now using longer con rods it means the cylinders cowling no longer sits over the cylinder and meets with the fan cowling, this is where this spacer comes in, it bridges the gap between the 2 cowlings, extending the fan cowl so it can meet up once gain with the cylinder cowling. Although designed for the BFA motor these can be adapted for use on most large frame Vespa motors.
