Description
The throttle and shift tube of many hand-operated vespas is mounted by means of a spacer washer, which is intended to prevent too much lateral play and to prevent the respective pulley from rubbing directly against the cast aluminium of the handlebars.
The corrugated disc provides a slight pre-tensioning of the tubes so that they cannot move back and forth in the handlebars, which would cause an unpleasant riding impression during the ride.
