Description
CIF shock absorbers are produced in Italy and have a solid quality.
Already for more than 50 years on the market CIF is known as a supplier of high quality and reliable Vespa spare parts.

The CIF shock absorbers are available individually as well as in sets. The sets also include the so-called silent rubbers. Together with the new shock absorbers the handling is raised to the level of a new vehicle or even improved with the tuning variants.

Available are the lines:

OEM:
corresponds to a new series chassis
SPORT ELEGANT:
oil pressure, somewhat more tightly damped than series, spring preload adjustable, discreet colours
SPORT TUNING:
oil pressure, slightly tighter damping than standard, spring preload adjustable, red/black colouring
TIP: The spring preload setting on the adjustable suspension struts is only used to adapt to the rider's weight. Choose the preload so that after climbing on the vehicle the spring struts are immersed for about 1-2cm. This is the so-called negative suspension travel. If the negative suspension travel is reduced by a too large preload, the vehicle starts to jump and move on uneven ground. Increase the preload for larger loads (permanent two-man operation, a lot of luggage etc.) compared to solo operation. This ensures maximum riding comfort and safety.

Note: Vehicles built in 2000 and later require a spacer of at least 48mm length (see accessories).
