Vespa VMC 10 Spring Cosa Style Clutch Kit

(without DRIVE GEAR)

For Vespa COSA-PX-T5

VMC 10 SPRING CLUTCH KIT (DRIVE GEAR NOT INCLUDED) - PX COSA CLUTCH. VMC 10 Spring ERGAL (7075 aluminium alloy) clutch for Vespa Large Frame for use with Cosa drive gears. Basket in Ergal with hard anodization specific for VMC clutch discs or discs mod. CR80 type

. Internal spider in steel with hardening treatment complete with bushing and shim. 4 aluminium clutch plates with specially made carbon/Kevlar friction material and CR80 disc type teeth. 4 laser-cut steel driven discs to have the pinion/disc coupling as precise as possible.

Clutch pack reinforced circlip ring in laser cut harmonic steel with holes for circlip pliers. 3 sets of springs 10 springs with different loads:- with the set of 10 soft springs the clutch resists powers of around 20hp - with the set of 10 hard springs the clutch resists powers of around 35hp.

N:B: the clutch fits only with Cosa type drive sprockets and clutch plates 8 springs type Cosa

THE DRIVE GEAR PINION IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE KIT.

 The Cosa type clutch is called this as it first appeared on the Cosa 2 models, then in 1995 is was fitted as standard to PX models, this standard type clutch features a 4 plate set up with 8 internal springs, and gives a lovely light action on the lever. 

This clutch can be used for as a direct replacement for upgrading the older type 7-spring clutch fitted as standard in P200E, PX200E, PX125, PX150 and PX200efl models.

The Drive Cog is is not included in the kit you use your existing 20/21/22 or 23 tooth pinion
